It’s Blazing Caribou Studios début episode of Varmints! First of all, Paul Csomo and Paul Wilk talk about their possible formation of a new metal band.
They discuss a video game with a not-so-original idea. Hence, they muffle over an absolutely terrible movie. Resulting in them somehow managing to actually reveal a few things about our bouncy marsupial friends. On today’s episode from down under, Kangaroos!
Here’s some stuff we referenced on the show:
How does the female kangaroo choose the sex of her joey? I know! Let’s check with a major university filled with impossibly smart people! The Stanford University Medical Center. .”¯\_(ツ)_/¯“
Here are some kangaroos pushing each other around. Like they do. Courtesy of YouTube user Judy Beyer.
The Royal Australian Air Force Kangaroo Roundel
First of all, this is kind of what we had in mind when we thought of “boxing kangaroos“. But we didn’t think it still went on. Sheesh, people. Enough already. Not nice to animals. Thumbs down.
The only time a boxing kangaroo is acceptable is if the kangaroo is beating up Woody Allen. And your internet experience is now complete. You’re welcome.
Video Games & Movies
Let’s move on to more pleasant things, shall we? How about the 1982 Sun Electronics video game “Kangaroo“? Probably not very original, but quite fun nonetheless.
In addition to video games there was 2003 movie “Kangaroo Jack” featuring a Kangaroo. I’m still having trouble trying to come up with a worse movie than this.
The idea is that two childhood friends, a New York hairstylist and a would-be musician, get caught up with the mob. They and are forced to deliver $50,000 to Australia, but things go haywire when the money is lost to a wild kangaroo. Because, this movie makes sense? More like the opposite of sense, utter and total nonsense.
You could probably find almost anything on display in an Australian supermarket. Never the less it seems like it looks reasonably priced! And some of it is already marinated! Bon Appetit! Source: Wikipedia.
Winnie the Pooh
Finally, Have you ever wondered how screwed up the animals are in “Winnie the Pooh”? This is the especially relevant: Canadian Medical Association Journal article “Pathology in the Hundred Acre Wood” .While it’s insanely true, it’s also a good read!
You are now an expert on kangaroos! Hence, If you are Australian maybe you can tell us how kangaroo meat tastes! Or if you actually liked the movie “Kangaroo Jack”? Please connect with our hosts with comments and questions.
